Rainbow Yarn Swatch2

Rainbow Yarn Swatch2

This is my latest yarn! I’ve done it for a fair entry, and I’m not sure if I will sell the yarn on etsy or if I will make a shawl out the yarns.

It’s quite fine, though I used an H hook, I wanted more openness and loft to the stitches. I hand dyed the roving to get the color effects, and just love how it turned out, the second ply is a black worsted I bought, it’s exceptionally fine warp thread, and a wonderful easy second ply for quick spinning !

This swatch will be included with my skein at the Stanwood-Camano Fair. As a crocheter who spins I often enter my yarn this way, since most judging is done according to knitting requirements. Silly really since we make yarn for lots of media, all having their specific needs.

About thegoldenme

I love crochet and hand-spinning. I am visually impaired, and thus extremely tactile. I love texture and color, and creating things that feel good, and look good has made life richer and warmer.
