If you remember the post back in July referring to our dear friend and spinning sister who had the terrible car wreck…well she’s recovering beautifully! She was in a coma for 20 days, had multiple surgeries and has more to go…but she’s home now with the man she loves (and who loves her desperately)…I got to speak to her last week and it was wonderful to hear her voice…
Thanks to all for your prayers and thoughts…keep em up for her, she’s got a road ahead, but if anyone can make a pretty close to almost full recovery it will be our dear spinning sister!

Well, the book won’t be with us in Portland, but I will have some samples to show how cool it’s going to be
I do not believe the proof will be as clear as I’d like the book to be (due to some nervous sample printing off my own printer) so….I’m redoing the formatting again, to make sure we’re crystal clear and the contriubtors’ work is displayed as it should be…they deserve the world to see how FABULOUS they are…and I won’t settle for “ok” but not good enough…
SIGH…of course I have a million other things to do to get ready for PDX but that’s ok
The stress of having to have the book done BY Portland was mind blowing…so having that deadline now so out of reach it isn’t even ridiculous, now I’m just annoyed with myself (since I read the impriters page sizes wrong, which is why I had to resize the book in the first place) and ready to be in PDX in all the Crochet Liberation Front Glory…

Well, my lovlies…here is where life stands at the moment… I have completed the CLF FIrst Ever Book, I won’t hear back from the imprinter till Monday, and yes indeed, I am slightly bummed…I wanted to order the proof TODAY…but alas patience is in order…le sigh…
So, what am I doing this weekend? Getting ready for Portland of course, there are two things I’ll be getting ready, the buttons and the keychains…once I have those all made up, then we work on about 20 or so tote bags with crochet related things on them….Yes, I do indeed have t-shirts
But those are for Portland (got to pay the bills some how…) All Crochet Liberation Front Related gear…and HOPEFULLY the book, but I will have postcards just in case
Everyone cross their fingers
The Crochet Liberation Front will be booth 514 which is so much fun it’s by the runway and action and all that… I’m really looking forward to the free form crochet get together friday night

OK I SHOULD have finally got the book uploaded for the last time…what book? Why The Crochet Liberation Front First Ever Book! We’ll see how this next file review goes…but I figure we’re all good now
Here’s our cover in all it’s glory. The little white square/rectangle is where the ISBN number goes
I’m proud of all our efforts, and hugely thankful to Kristin Kesecker for her wonderful art work that made our cover convey all that we do and are! (Slightly insane crochet addicts!)

What with all the business getting the Crochet Liberation Front’s First Ever Book finished, the Stanwood Camano Fair, and getting ready for the show in Portland, Oregon, I actually got a little crochet time in! YAY…
I made a little free form sherpa hat, I call it the “She Sells Seashells Sherpa” and my lovely daughter will be annoyed that I am using her cute self portrait for the photo…I’ll take another one of the hat later cause the detail on the crown is very nice
It’s all out of my handspun and is yummy

Ah they do grow up fast

Ok everything is finalized for the CGOA Fall Meet up in Portland, Oregon this coming September. In fact it’s from Sept. 11 -14 at the Oregon Convention Center!
I plucked up my courage and have arranged for the Crochet Liberation Front to have a booth in the vendor’s market! Hopefully the book will be not only done but in Print by then…yes, my stomach is beginning to ache…just in case though! I have post cards on the way, t-shirts, buttons and more…we’ll see what all I can come up with before Sept. and still stay sane.
Come see us in Portland!
