Once again! I just love this bag. This is the first of many patterns that I have written for my Spuntastik! Elastik! Yarn. The base is made from Spuntastik! Elastik! Mohair, and the top part of the bag is made with Spuntastik! Chenooly.
Chenooly is a two ply yarn, one ply cotton chenille, one ply handdyed wool core spun around the chenille.
You’ve never had such bounce and drape all at the same time!
This is a quick project to make up, especially if you are experienced at working with novelty yarns.

Well…almost. Got most of the room shifting completed today. Painted the old office, it’s now a bedroom, and moved my office into the old bedroom and I have…drumroll please…a door I can shut! Yes, I can even lock it.
So now when trying to code my website I can actually work on it before everyone goes to bed! YEAH! I mean I’m a night owl, I like to be up at night, but that’s my crafting time, not the time I want to be coding anything.
So yippee for me…so hopefully in two more days I will have myself COMPLETELY reorganised and I will have some photos of the Norgaard center, and will have written at least one yarn review (no I have not forgotten), and have at least one free crochet pattern up.
I will be putting up the Funky Folk Bag pattern first…
Take Care and Have a safe and sane weekend.

OK NOW I’m finally happy with a picture of it…
A little editing here and there…this is the perfect pictorial representation of my latest yarn…
It’s so fun to use…

Hands, fingers, toes, extra appendages at any rate! Currently I’m polishing up my website before I publish it, oooh it’s going to be so nice!
Plus, I’m reorganizing my WHOLE house to get the office space working right for my business and family. (Did I tell you I home school my kids?…yeah I know..I’m crazy…but heck they’re smart so it works out) On top of it I’ve had a rash of yarn sales, so I have to get more spinning done, no complaints there…
I have an intense desire to needle felt but no time to do it, and I have the cutest idea for pins and earrings…it will have to wait!
So my friends, if I don’t post too much info here, and more pics etc, know that it is due to a lack of digits, appendages, limbs…oh heck it means I only have two hands and only 24 hours…One day I’ll find time to sleep!
Give me a week or so on the website, working as fast as I can…I’m really proud of what I’ve designed thus far! I think you’ll all like it!
Hey now I just thought of a project! Needlefelting those extra arms I need! Hmmmm…wonder if I can learn robotics fast enough to make em really work?…nope it’s that kind of thinking that gets me into these pickles!
Have a great day!

Ok… I like this photo of the yarn much better than the last one I posted. That was a little too flat…This is a yarn with such character it deserves a second photo!
it’s soft, it’s durable, it’s bouncy, it’s definately funky… Who knew handspinning could produce this!
Crocheters this is a yarn designed with YOU in mind… Believe me…it’s a kick!

Hot off the wheel! I’ve completely sold out of my elastic yarn, branded Spuntastik! Elastik! So I’ve been inspired to make more, which isn’t tough since this is one of the most fun yarns to make…it’s actually harder to give up since I love working with it!
Bouncy, stretchy and so much more! It’s great for bags, and ballet silppers!
I’ll be listing it on etsy soon… In the meantime I will keep writing, working on my website and attempting to get yarn spun!
Luckily I’ll be spinning this coming saturday for a few hours at the Norgaard Center in Stanwood, and again on the fourth of July. Nothing like having dedicated spinning time!
There are just days that I wish I had two of me…one to do my web duties and the other to do everything else…or maybe one day I will grow another three sets of arms so I can accomplish all my interests!

Please keep checking in with me, as I will soon have some really exciting news concerning The Secrets of Yarn(c) Project!
In fact my whole company will have fun announcements in the very near future… Much will change in my online world, but this blog shall not. Neither will my myspace activity…that’s just a lighter more irreverent side of me! That blog definately is less professional, and chronicals mainly my frustrations with my very slow internet connection! (That is the last I shall mention of it on these pages.)
Anyway…needless to say I am busy making the changes as fast as I can…so get ready for some FUN! I’ll let you know when it’s ready!
Keep on hookin’ and stitchin folks!

It was actually really popular in the 1960’s, and was featured in some really great patterns. I look forward to seeing more of that come back in…some of the outfits and dresses were just remarkable during that era.
The loopy loo scarf is actually made the same way as my funky fashion scarf. (Funky fashion scarf is listed on Etsy www.camanomade.etsy.com)
This particular hat and scarf set were made out of an alpaca/wool “faux boucle”, I have red and black available in my etsy store as well. However at the moment I can make purple, lime green, orange, blue, and natural tones. Contact me for special orders !

If you are in the Stanwood-Camano area (or would like to come up to visit us) the Camano Island Spinners will meet this coming Sunday, June 24 at 2pm at the South Camano Grange hall.
This is a very loosely associated group of spinners, we don’t do group projects, we mainly park ourselves on a comfy chair, set up our wheels and spin yarns (and yarn too).
We are very welcoming to newcomers, those who want to learn, those who want to improve or share, as well as to handworkers who appreciate handspun and are welcome to come sit, work on a project and just soak up the atmosphere.
Believe you me with this group there is lots of atmosphere!
Also, don’t forget I’ll be demonstrating at the Floydd Norgaard Center in Stanwood, WA June 30th for the patrons party, and on July 4th in the day time for the cultural heritage event. (Norweigian Cultural Event I should add!).

Wow! Yesturday was such a great day! I drove down to Everett (WA) met up with Karen Whooley KRW Knitwear and taught her how to spin! Yea Karen! You are a real spinner now!
Then we went to her crochet guild where I led a great class on the Secrets of Yarn. Awesome ladies! They asked great questions, found out they were more creative than even they knew! We covered fibers, yarns, quality versus price, and design elements using different fibers.
Thanks to all who purchased my Secrets of Yarn(c) Project Guide! And to Karen who yet again found one of my yarns she couldn’t resist!
You guys should see how she makes my yarn sing! I’m so happy to have such a great designer loving my own creations!
Check out her site! It’s linked on the side bar.
